The inaugural BKFC UK bantamweight championship is on the line for Lewis Garside and Brad Taylor in Newcastle on Saturday as the two 135lbers go to war in pursuit of bare knuckle gold. A total of eight fights will feature on the main card in England’s north-east this weekend, which includes a lightweight championship eliminator between Lewis Keen and Stew Martin in the co-main. A strong batch of British contenders will headline at the Walker Activity Dome, with James Walker and Barry Boyle’s collision at heavyweight featuring among the must-match matchups, as well as a welterweight battle between Liam Hutchinson and Dylan Fail.

Sunderland-born Garside is undefeated in three BKFC bouts, most recently defeating Kiran Swewll by unanimous decision back in March.
Prior to that, the Englishman scored a first-round knockout against Jonno Chipchase to continue his fast start with the promotion, having only made his debut six months prior:
A co-main matchup between Keen and Martin also promises fireworks, with the victor set to get a shot at the BKFC UK lightweight crown.
Keen has won all but one of his five BKFC bouts to date, the only loss being a first-round stoppage at the hands of Ben Bonner at BKFC 68 back in November 2024.
James ‘Lights Out’ Lilley was due to face Keen in the title eliminator but pulled out on five days’ notice due to injury, leaving Martin to step in as a 2-0 underdog.
‘White Mike’ made his BKFC debut in March and impressed with a first-round finish against Jordan Burnett, having yet to taste defeat as a pro.
However, the odds are stacked against him when he takes on ‘The Machine’, who will fancy his chances of taking a giant step towards a first BKFC strap.
