HFC Wanderers have lost every edition of this head-to-head dating back to May 2025, but it’s been almost two years since the club last managed a winning result against the Hammers. Bobby Smyrniotis’ men came into this weekend’s games four points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand over second place Cavalry FC and is targeting a seventh straight league win at Wanderers Grounds.

The Wanderers were undefeated in two coming into their clash against table leader Supra du Quebec last time out and appeared to be on track to extend that run after leading 2-0 at the break.
That was until FC Supra forward Loic Kwemi came up with the fastest hat-trick in CPL history early in the second period to turn the scoreboard on its head.

Ghanaian forward Nana Ampomah came up with two goals either side of halftime when Forge FC beat Inter Toronto 3-1 last time out.
However, it’s Forge’s steadfast defense that has paved the way on its route to the top of the table, conceding a joint-league low of just eight goals in 13 games to date.
It just so happens the last team to prevent the Wanderers scoring was none other than Forge the last time these teams met in June, surrendering a 1-0 defeat at Tim Hortons Field. Brian Wright bagged the only goal of the game.
