The 2026 Little League Softball World Series is underway, and Game 2 pits the Mid-Atlantic Region against the Asia-Pacific Region on Sunday afternoon. This is the first matchup of the tournament between a United States team and an International one. There are eight teams representing the US in the LLWS, and four from around the world, including Asia-Pacific, Canada, Europe-Africa, and Latin America. Kinki Softball LL will represent the Asia-Pacific Region in this tournament. The club is from Sangō, Japan, and finished the regional tournament undefeated to reach this stage. Team Mid-Atlantic is represented by Toms River LL from Toms River, New Jersey. No team in the region went undefeated, but Toms River LL played the most games to outlast all other competition. The 2026 Little League Softball World Series will take place in Greenville, NC, at Stallings Stadium at Elm Street near East Carolina University. This is one of just more than 340 Little League games that you can enjoy on ESPN networks, in an event that has come to symbolize the great joys of late summer. These teams will face off in the tournament’s Orange Bracket. Team Japan enters this LLSWS undefeated at 2-0. There were only two teams and two games in this regional tournament. Despite winning both games, Team Japan beat Team Philippines in two nail-biters. Team Japan won Game 1 4-3 and Game 2 2-1, both on July 13 in Narita, Chiba, Japan. Team New Jersey finished the Mid-Atlantic Regional tournament with a 4-1 record, only losing to Team Pennsylvania by one run. Team New Jersey redeemed itself by beating Team New York 3-2 to reach the championship game. There, Team New Jersey completed its comeback arc by outlasting Team Pennsylvania when it mattered most, 5-3, in Bristol, CT. The LLSWS will kick off at 10 a.m. ET when the Northwest Region faces off against the Southeast Region between Team Washington and Team Florida.
