The star of last week’s game was Elks quarterback Cody Fajardo. He completed 25 of his 32 pass attempts for an eye-popping 510 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions. On the other end of those throws was primarily T.J. Luther (10 catches, 157 yards) and Austin Mack (4 catches, 173 yards, 2 touchdowns).
In the end though, kicker Vincent Blanchard was the hero for the Elks. He drilled a 57-yard field goal as the clock ran out to clinch the win for Edmonton. That was his third field goal of the game, on three attempts.
