The road to The Basketball Tournament championship continues on the Non-Alumni side of the bracket when The Mecca tips off against Knueppel Crew on Sunday night. This tournament comprises 14 teams competing for the grand prize of $2 million in the championship game to be played on August 2. Knueppel Crew is second in Group A of the Non-Alumni standings, sitting behind Davis Steel. The Mecca are looking to get out of the bottom of the Group B standings, going into this game sitting in third place. This game will take place at the M Resort Spa Casino in the Las Vegas area.
Every team in the Non-Alumni Bracket will play their games in Las Vegas, with the eight-team Alumni games taking place on college campuses across the country. Last year, AfterShocks beat Eberlein Drive in the championship game for a then-$1 million prize. The winner of this game between The Mecca and Knueppel Crew will move on in the bracket to play Heartfire Elite, who is the leader of Group B for the Non-Alumni bracket.
