The righty improved to 6-7 after going six innings while only giving up one run on three hits, striking out five in the 4-2 victory. Victor Mesa Jr. had two of the four RBIs, helping lead Tampa Bay to a three-run inning in the sixth to put the Rays over the top. Toronto was limited to just four hits the entire game. Toronto scored the first run of the game on a groundout by George Springer, but the Blue Jays couldn’t score again until the seventh on a solo shot from Alejandro Kirk. It was the most runs Toronto has scored this series. They’ll likely need plenty more to avoid the sweep on Thursday.
